Since your item is custom made just for you and each piece is hand signed and dated by the artisan, there's no need to worry about seeing everybody wearing the same thing.

Many of the pieces created by Mystic Leather™ are hand stamped and some are even hand carved by special order. Leather stamping involves the use of shaped implements to create an imprint onto the leather surface. Some commercial stamps are available, and include geometric, animals and other designs. Most stamping is performed on natural tanned leather that has been dampened with water, the water makes the leather softer and able to be compressed by the design being pressed or stamped into it. After the leather has been stamped, the design stays on the leather but can fade if the leather becomes wet and is flexed.

Some of our pieces are hand carved. Since this is a time consuming process, it is done by special order only. Carving the leather actually cuts the surface of the leather. As in stamping, carving is also performed on natural tanned leather that has been dampened with water, making the surface easier to penetrate.

Mystic Leather™ uses alcohol based dyes for their rich colors and permanence. Water based dyes are available, but have a tendency to fade easily, especially with any kind of exposure to moisture and sunlight. We also use a variety of finishes to accent the designs, create color contrast and protect the leather.
